We have several fully remote, contract-to-hire Senior Java Engineer openings where you will play a pivotal role in driving IT transformation and modernization for a large enterprise industry leader. These roles require hands-on technical expertise in Java and related technologies, as well as strategic foresight and problem-solving skills. You must be able to hit the ground running by producing high-quality code, and must be proficient across different stages of the software development life cycle.
We offer competitive compensation, as well as many benefits (see below). The compensation for these opportunities range from $60-$75/hr (Senior) and $70-$85/hr (Lead).
- 5+ years of recent Java development experience in a large enterprise environment (and up-to-date, hands-on coding experience).
- Microservices architecture with tools like Spring Boot and REST APIs.
- Version control with GitHub/GitLab, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
- Containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud services (preferably GCP).
- Proficient in both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Ability to optimize applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Analytical skills to identify and resolve complex system issues.
- Clear communication of technical challenges and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic foresight in technology trends and future needs.
- Experience in analyzing and reengineering existing systems for efficiency.
- Comfort with agile methodologies and adaptation to evolving requirements.
For the Lead role, in addition to the Senior Engineer qualifications, you’ll also need: - Proven experience contributing to the architecture of significant IT projects and guiding technical teams.
- Experience in code reviews and mentoring other engineers, fostering growth and ensuring adherence to best practices.
