Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer
Location: Hybrid - Albany, NY
Key Responsibilities:
Driving the software quality assurance lifecycle within Agile processes Design and coordinate test strategies and plans with development/product teamsDesigning and implementing test plans and casesDeveloping and maintaining mobile test automation frameworksExecuting automated UI and functional tests on real devices and emulatorsReview daily test results, report and track issuesEnhance and maintain automated CI flowsTroubleshoot issues in systems under testRaise the bar for test automation coverage, reduce code complexity, increase CI/CD automation, and improve upon on quality metrics Work in a team environment using Agile project approaches (Scrum) Participate in peer code reviews5+ years of experience in software development or QA automationProficiency in mobile/web application testingExperience with programming languages such as Java, Groovy, Ruby, Python, or JavaScriptFamiliarity with Appium or Selenium WebDriver, and testing frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or CucumberComfortable using Git, and experienced with CI tools like Jenkins, and test management tools like JIRAKnowledge of SQL/NoSQL databasesFluency in written and spoken EnglishExperience in native mobile testing frameworks (XCUITest, UIAutomator, Espresso) or micro-services architectureA bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study or equivalent experience is preferred.
Must Have Experience:
5+ years of experience in software development or QA automationProficiency in mobile/web application testingExperience with programming languages such as Java, Groovy, Ruby, Python, or JavaScriptFamiliarity with Appium or Selenium WebDriver, and testing frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or CucumberComfortable using Git, and experienced with CI tools like Jenkins, and test management tools like JIRAKnowledge of SQL/NoSQL databasesFluency in written and spoken English
Preferred Skills:
Experience in native mobile testing frameworks (XCUITest, UIAutomator, Espresso) or micro-services architectureA bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study or equivalent experience is preferred.
