Job Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join our team. In this critical role, you will oversee the management of our organization's contracts, encompassing both federal and commercial agreements. Your expertise will be instrumental in negotiating terms, ensuring compliance, and maintaining thorough records of all contract documentation and processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of contract law, possess excellent negotiation skills, and have the ability to manage complex contracts from initiation to conclusion. As a Senior Contracts Manager, your efforts will safeguard our company's interests and support our continued growth and success.


Job Responsibilities:


- Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with company policy. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company policies.

- Oversee the entire contracts lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing agreements with clients, suppliers, and partners.

- Ensure that contracts are accurately executed according to organizational guidelines and legal requirements, managing all documentation and signature processes efficiently.

- Conduct risk analysis on potential contracts, identifying areas of potential risk and proposing mitigation strategies to senior management.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on contractual matters, ensuring timely review and approval/reconciliation of variations.

- Provide guidance on contract matters to project managers or other operational staff, including training new employees in contractual processes as needed.

- Support contract negotiation, providing detailed attention to financial terms, performance clauses, and legal liabilities.

- Ensure contract renewal, extension, termination, and negotiation processes are managed in a timely and accurate manner.

- Develop and maintain a database for tracking contracts, ensuring all contract-related information is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.

- Stay abreast of changes in contract law and regulations, particularly those affecting federal and commercial contracts, to ensure compliance across all contracts.


Required Experience:


- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification in a relevant area is preferred.

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in contract management or a closely related field, with at least 3 years in a senior role managing federal and commercial contracts.

- In-depth knowledge of federal and commercial contract law, regulations, and practices. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of the complexities involved in both types of contracts.

- Proven expertise in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing complex contracts.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively negotiating with and influencing others.

- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
