Job Summary
The Technical Product Manager (TPM) is a member of the Technology team who is responsible for the successful delivery of engineering projects within the Code and Theory portfolio of companies. The role focuses on the delivery of large complex development projects in partnership with cross-functional teams of strategists, designers, and developers.
Responsibilities
Provide the structure in which a development project will be executed and encourage team collaboration to achieve the best possible results.
Review wireframes or designs, evaluate their complexity, and plan the work of the development team (breaking down tasks, creating timelines, and project backlogs).
Learn and deeply understand the technical specifications for your product including frontend architecture, CMS implementation, and integrations for site search, advertising, APIs, personalization tools, localization, internationalization, analytics, etc.
Utilizes Agile principles values, and frameworks including Scrum and Kanban to facilitate delivery.
Create issues (stories, tasks, and bugs) for the team based on approved designs & annotations.
Translate approved product roadmap and technical architecture into actionable stories for the product to be built.
Maintain the backlog of Jira issues.
Facilitate ticket estimation.
Leads Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Sprint Grooming, and Sprint Demos in collaboration with Client Engagement/Production lead and Technical Director.
Maintains development status documents and reports, both internally & client-facing.
Knowledgeable about software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle and operations.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
+ 6 years of experience as a Senior Product Manager.
Experience with Agile principles values, and frameworks including Scrum
Experience with Atlassian’s suite of products including Jira and Confluence
Experience working with commonly used CMS platforms such as Contentful, Drupal, WordPress, and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
Participated in the successful delivery and deployment of enterprise-level engineering projects (both principal engineering and maintenance)
