The Analytics Practice relies on Data Science, Data Engineering, and Marketing Analytic team members to equip our clients with the leading tools and data-driven insights needed to personalize and fuel exceptional experiences (CX) for their customers.

 

As the Director, Data & AI, working remotely in Canada except Quebec, you will serve as senior subject matter expert in the data & analytics space for clients with the aim of crafting customer value, maximizing growth or improving the business performance of our clients. The Director, Data & AI role is a highly visible and strategic position, where you will have the opportunity to develop a compelling vision for bringing actionable AI/ML solutions to our clients and advancing their digital transformations.

What you'll be doing
  • Serve as senior subject matter expert in the data & analytics space for clients with the aim of crafting customer value, maximizing growth or improving the business performance of our clients.
  • Advise and partner with clients to solve their business problems with cloud-based modern data architectures and advanced analytics.
  • Develop a compelling vision for bringing actionable AI/ML solutions to our clients and advancing their digital transformations.
  • Develop Data and AI products to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients.
  • Work closely with the sales and delivery teams to run pre-sales efforts and engagements.
  • Collaborate on business development activities as a domain specialist for the Data and AI team across a variety of clients and industries.
  • Drive overall growth of practice through a combination of business development, talent management, oversight of delivery work, and thought leadership.
  • Develop proposals, presentations, statement of work (SOW) and proactively recommend strategies to grow the data & analytics practice presence in existing accounts.
  • Proactively identify internal and external dependencies, issues, scope changes, and progress against project plan
  • Review, select and integrate next-generation technologies into the architectural strategy as needed.
  • Develop and expand our knowledge base and best practices for delivering data products
  • Perform key leadership and mentorship role in the areas of advanced data techniques, including data architecture, data integration, data governance, ML, and implementation in cloud-based and hybrid architectures.
  • Build and lead high-performing, agile teams.
  • Devise talent strategy for the team – identify resource gaps or inefficiencies, build hiring plan, recommend promotions, and manage performance for consistency with the needs and vision of the department.


What you'll bring to us
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or other quantitative field with significant leadership experience 
  • 15+ years of demonstrated experience within data & analytics.
  • 5+ years of experience in the consulting industry including technical pre-sales expertise.
  • Experience in partner selling, pipeline development, Go-To-Market strategies, and management skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience leading teams of data engineers, data scientists and data storytellers on large-scale data projects.
  • Experience working on public cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS) and associated deep understanding of Data and ML tools offered.
  • Strong fundaments in data structures, algorithms, automated testing, object-oriented programming, performance complexity, and implications of architecture on software performance
  • A proven track record of using quantitative analysis to impact key business or product decisions.
  • A solid grasp of common statistical applications and methods (A/B tests and multivariate experiments, probabilities, regression)
  • Understanding of Agile Software Development Lifecycle and project planning/execution skills
  • Desire to thrive in a constantly innovating and changing environment.
  • Strong skills in team leadership and networking, ability to work across multiple organizations to accomplish diverse goals.
  • Exceptional presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to understand the long-term ('big picture') and short-term perspective of situations.
