Our client, a company specialising in personalised children's books created through a custom web app is seeking a mid-level to senior digital illustrator. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in creating vector and raster graphics for interactive, customizable book illustrations. This remote position requires a skilled professional to design character components, book illustrations, and integrate customizable text elements.
Responsibilities:
- Design vector/raster-based character components including:
- Body shapes
- Gender variations
- Hairstyles
- Facial hair options
- Eye colour variations
- Skin colour options
- Glasses styles
- Pet illustrations
- A customisable book cover
- 15 unique double-page spreads
- Scenes with characters, props, and environments
- Proven experience as a digital illustrator, with a strong portfolio showcasing character design and book illustrations
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Expertise in both vector and raster graphics creation
- Strong understanding of character design principles and customization options
