Purpose: The purpose of the role is to provide expertise in using SAP Analytics Tools (primarily SAP BW/4 and SAP Embedded Analytics) for TwiningsOvo. The role will cover supporting of existing solutions/reports, new reporting requirements and providing best practices for ongoing implementation phases.
Scope: We invite a proficient SAP BW Developer to join our innovative and inclusive team atmosphere. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP BW solutions to meet the business needs. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of SAP BW, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data models in SAP BW to support business reporting requirements.
- Design and implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from various source systems.
- Configure and enhance SAP BW systems to meet evolving business needs.
- Develop and maintain InfoProviders, DataSources, Transformations, and DTPs.
- Implement BW queries and reports using BEx tools and Analysis for Office.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of SAP BW data loads and queries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data loads and report performance.
- Participate in new demand planning, execution, and delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful incident and new demand implementation.
- Support regular BW system maintenance and upgrades.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures including update and creation of technical specifications where required.
- Support the solution delivered by SI as part of Program Optimus, ensuring smooth support.
- Provide support for issue triaging, followed by providing options for resolving the issue including user impact, estimation, design etc.
- For new requests, participate in requirements workshops, ensure follow up on reporting questions and investigations if outstanding, and recommend implementation options that include estimations.
- May involve international travel and flexibility in working hours aligned with a global role.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 5-8 years’ experience working with SAP BW
- Experience in operating in a complex environment including implementation of SAP BW solutions.
- Proficient comprehension of SAP modules and SAC tools, with a focus on data structuring, report generation, and analytics.
- Proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools.
- Experience in an FMCG environment preferred.
- Proficiency in developing custom extractors.
- Understanding of financial and stock planning scenarios
- Familiarity with business process modelling techniques and methodologies.
- Communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A mindset adept at detail-oriented examination and proficient in resolving issues.
- Capability to perform tasks solo as well as part of a team within a changing setting.
- Relevant SAP certifications are desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience of working in continuous delivery (Kanban/support) and new initiatives (Sprint).
- Ability to document and communicate progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary.
- Ability to identify, clarify, and resolve issues and risks, escalating them as needed
