About the Role
We are is seeking a web developer or designer for a global multimedia+networking company to redesign their existing website, which is currently built on the Wix platform, into a fully responsive WordPress site. The new site should maintain a similar look and feel to the current design, but with a slightly simpler and more streamlined approach.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze the current website design, content, and layout to understand the requirements and develop a plan for the WordPress redesign.
- Set up a new WordPress installation and configure it to meet the project's needs.
- Convert the existing website content (text, images, etc.) into the new WordPress site, ensuring that the layout and structure are similar to the current design.
- Implement responsive design techniques to ensure that the new site looks and functions optimally across various devices and screen sizes.
- Test the new WordPress site thoroughly for functionality, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
Job Requirements:
- Proficient in WordPress development, including custom theme creation, plugin integration, and website optimization.
- Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and techniques.
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent design and branding across the website.
- Familiarity with website performance optimization and best practices for site speed and security.
