Challenge
As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will center on software development and testing, ensuring the robustness of the company's automation initiatives before they can be distributed to internal and external clients. You will carry out functional, load, stress, performance, security, and integration testing between the company’s applications, products, and services.
What you'll do
• Help build the application and system testing frameworks.
• Ensure robustness of automation initiatives.
• Benefit from backend software engineering skills, drawing on knowledge of coding and doing technical designs in high-scale systems.
• Collaborate with other team members to build something with lasting impact.
• Work on a rapidly evolving system loaded with interesting challenges and complex problems.
In order to succeed in this position, you will need:
Mandatory skills
• Advanced/fluent English skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing technologies.
• Experience in both manual and automation testing (test automation tools and frameworks).
• Experience with AWS.
• Experience with Python and/or C# environments.
Nice-to-have
• Relational database knowledge - developing in the data layer and writing ad-hoc queries.
• Experience in automation frameworks (such as Jenkins), and Infrastructure as Code (such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
Non-technical skills
• Passion to solve technical challenges, with a strong attention to detail and desire to get to the bottom of how things work, focused on ensuring an excellent customer experience.
• A security-oriented mindset and desire to build robust systems.
• Be able to take action and improve things, based on structured processes, organization, and documentation.
• A love for learning and a desire to grow and to help improve the team around you.
