UltraViolet Cyber is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Expert to join our team as a full-time Training Specialist. This individual will play a key role in delivering our advanced "Astute AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud Red Team: It's Raining Shells!" training course at BlackHat and other prominent cybersecurity conferences.
Position Overview
The Cloud Security Training Specialist will be responsible for teaching and continuously improving our 2-day intensive course on cloud-focused offensive security techniques. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, as well as expertise in red teaming and penetration testing methodologies specific to cloud platforms.
\n- Deliver the "Astute AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud Red Team" course at BlackHat and other cybersecurity conferences
- Continuously update and enhance the course content to reflect the latest cloud security trends and techniques
- Develop and maintain hands-on lab exercises and CTF challenges for the course
- Collaborate with the UV Cyber team to evolve our training capabilities and toolset
- Contribute to the development of new cloud security training courses and materials
- Engage with students during and after training sessions to provide additional guidance and support
- Stay current with the latest developments in cloud security, offensive security techniques, and cloud service provider offerings
- Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on offensive security techniques
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
- Proven expertise in cloud-focused red teaming and penetration testing
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, serverless applications, and containerization technologies
- Experience with Kubernetes and container security
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go, PowerShell, and Bash
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Public speaking experience, preferably in a training or conference setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, SANS GPEN, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer
- Experience developing and delivering technical training courses
- Contributions to open-source cloud security tools or research
- Previous experience speaking at major cybersecurity conferences
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
Required Tools and Technologies
Proficiency with:
- Cloud-specific tools and services for AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Common penetration testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap)
- Cloud-focused security assessment tools (e.g., ScoutSuite, Prowler, Azure Security Center)
- Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Container orchestration platforms, particularly Kubernetes
- Git and version control systems
Additional Information
- US Citizenship required
- Candidates must be willing to undergo a US Government background investigation
- Travel required to deliver training at conferences and client sites
