Job Description
The Helpdesk Support Technician, WFD will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related staff and student facing infrastructure. This position will mainly provide support on late shifts and on weekends.
- This position will be primarily responsible for providing remote support for educational facilities at healthcare provider sites affiliated with the educational institution.
- Administration of related solutions for various MIS project and operational needs.
- Should be familiar with Google Admin and enterprise enrolled Chrome devices.
- Configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. for existing servers in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements for Unitek.
- Manage and configure systems for company remote monitoring and management.
- Participate in development, maintenance, installation, and configuration procedures.
- Contribute to and maintain system standards and documentation.
- Create, change, and delete user accounts per request from HR.
- Provide support per request from various departments and users. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted users/departments. Restore from backups when required.
- Participate in OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
- Additional tasks as assigned.
*Pay starting at $27/hr
*Please note this position will be working 3 weekdays from 12pm-9pm and on the weekends from 8am-5pm
Qualifications
- Computer Knowledge to include Windows Chrome and iOS devices.
- Ability to problem-solve and think analytically.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Must have the ability to listen and ask questions to diagnose and solve computer issues.
- Strong written/documentation skills are required to write manuals and e-mails.
- Must have the patience to assist non-technical customers remotely
- Ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Ability to learn new skills.
