Description
The Role
If you want an environment to really grow, craft your skill, and immediately implement your ideas, then this is for you.
This isn’t your typical corporate role where you’re just another cog in a big machine. You’re going to get your hands dirty and lead from the front.
As the Head of Digital Marketing, you’ll take over and lead campaign development, execution, and communication for a high-quality client portfolio.
Specifically, you’ll be responsible for:
-
Campaign and Funnel Strategy Development: You’ll determine which type of campaign is required for every project and liaise with the head of content to ensure assets meet campaign goals. You will make strategic decisions, including which bundles, offers, or products to focus on based on the client's KPIs, AOV, LTV, and CPA.
-
Paid Ad & Media Buying Strategy: You’ll focus on video-based strategies for disaster relief campaigns that leverage user-generated content and focus on emotional appeals. Specifically, you will advise on optimisation, decide which content to increase spending on, which audiences to test, and which campaigns to stop.
-
On-Time Campaign Execution and Delivery: You’ll work with the team to ensure timelines are set based on the outputs needed and constantly prioritise campaign development and execution to quickly stand up emergency campaigns in as little as 24 hours.
- Client Performance Tracking and Reporting: You’ll measure and report on the performance, budgets, and effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns and prepare client-facing reports on the campaign's overall performance.
In your first 90 days, you will prioritise:
-
Developing a Deep Understanding of the Fundraising Space: You’ll prioritise reviewing our previous campaigns, coming up to speed on our current client base, and analysing the performance and outcomes of our work in order to become an expert in digital marketing for charities and NGOs.
- Becoming an Expert in Funnel Building for Charities and NGOs: A key part of your role is to build funnels for the client based on their needs (and if so, what type of lead generation campaign) using a quiz, a retargeting campaign, brand awareness, etc.
- Taking Over Client Campaigns and Relationships: You will work with current clients to understand their KPIs and ensure the team is delivering expected results and the client remains happy. 100% of clients may not be handed off within 90 days, but the process should be well underway with a clear plan to get to 100%.
The Person
- Deep understanding of how tracking works and how attributions across multiple advertising channels impact each other
- You are an expert on Google and Meta Ads

- If you've worked in the marketing/fundraising department (this is a bonus but not essential)
- You can demonstrate growth/results in the past three years (This one is essential)
