What is VisionPoint?
VisionPoint is a full-service marketing agency that specializes in higher education marketing. We partner with colleges and universities across the country to help them achieve their branding, marketing, and enrollment goals. Our portfolio features a range of award-winning campaigns and projects that we showcase at national conferences each year. While we’re headquartered in Raleigh, NC, VisionPoint operates on a remote policy with full-time VisionPointers across the country. Additionally, local Raleigh employees have the flexibility to choose from in-person, hybrid, and remote work options.
The Position
We’re seeking a talented Copywriter to join our innovative team. As a Copywriter, you’ll collaborate with a diverse group of creatives to develop engaging and effective campaigns across various platforms. If you’re passionate about storytelling and have a knack for turning complex ideas into simple, impactful messaging, we want to hear from you.
This position will report to the Director of Copy.
What You Will Do
- Work with the Creative Team (CD, Director of Copy, Copywriters, Director of Design, and Designers) as well as Strategists and Media Specialists to develop and execute thoughtful, strategic, and effective creative concepts, campaigns, and branding across a variety of platforms and media (from Meta, Snap, LinkedIn and display ads to radio, video, landing pages, and emerging media).
- Ensure the highest quality, craft, and implementation of all creative work. Remain detail-oriented, highly organized, and professional at all times.
- Build creative presentations and present concepts to clients.
- Contribute to improvements in process that result in better cross-team collaboration and outstanding work.
- Stay current on creative and industry trends, including use of AI tools.
- Show integrity at all times. Have empathy for teammates and clients. Be a source of inspiration for the Creative Team, the company as a whole, and our clients. Actively contribute to VisionPoint’s culture.
Who You Are
- A strong portfolio of copywriting work, including ad campaigns.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a copywriter in an advertising or similar (design, marketing, etc.) agency. We’re willing to accept less experienced folks, but the quality of work must outweigh the lack of experience.
- Must be able to keep up with administrative responsibilities (timesheets, tasklists, internal communications, internal initiatives, etc.) and thrive under tight deadlines.
- Must possess sharp listening skills and the ability to hear feedback and respond without taking it personally.
- Able to create for all types of media and experiences.
