Plan, prioritize, coordinate, manage and monitor activities within the sales training department to ensure accurate, relevant, timely and effective training to support both sales and sales operations teams. Develop and implement training strategy. Lead and manage staff to deliver consistent execution of training programs. Initiate competency based sales learning. Implement and track sales competency metrics. Develop and deliver programs that support business needs and achieve goals. Provide leadership and oversight of all training programs developed and implemented in alignment with sales and sales operations teams. Collaborate with sales and sales operations leadership to establish a departmental strategy tied to sales and sales operations goals. Make on-going recommendations to ensure organizational and technological improvements are implemented. Establish effective relationships with direct reports and maintain/improve employee satisfaction as defined through company measurements including upward evaluation, employee satisfaction survey, retention, etc. Provide leadership and mentorship for the training department through continuous open communication with team members, internal customers, business partners, leaders and project teams. Lead training team to continuously analyze and diagnose training needs in coordination with the SBUs sales and sales operations teams Effectively build a diverse and inclusive training department within the Sales Enablement area Lead and/or sponsor training development projects Create and launch and monitor training feedback loop to ensure successful business outcomes Recommend, develop and implement a complete suite of training resources and tools designed to assist sales and sales operations teams with performance improvement Establish effective relationships with key department managers to enable consistent and effective representation of the training team across the LOB Stay up to date on customer trends and potential opportunities that impact training curriculum and content. Develop departmental process to ensure continuous updates of curriculum and content. Ensure connectivity with internal training units Educate business partners regarding applicable training technology, functions and processes that are available and practical to assist in achieving their business goals Develop unit budget, monitor expenses to ensure costs are within established levels; seek out process improvements that result in administrative cost savings without a negative impact to the quality of service provided to customers Facilitate change within the training department and with other departments on processes, procedures and systems for continuous improvement; develop and implement communication strategies as needed Job Specifications Typically has the following skills or abilities: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; Minimum of 1 additional year of experience related to functional area Minimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of direct reports Excellent written and oral communication skills Proven ability to develop and manage training programs Strong background in Project Management, Building Cross Functional Teams, Sales Process, Sales Methodology, LMS implementation Training Certification #LI-VISIONCARE Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
