Role Objectives:
The Group is growing fast and expanding its Clinical trial services. As the Group grows, the necessity for legal contracts with customers, sponsors, vendors, and suppliers will increase. You will provide clinical trial support to the Group Head of Legal and Assistant Legal Counsel, internal stakeholders, and Group affiliates, which have subsidiaries in the UK, US, Ireland, and Portugal.

- To assist, advise and provide support and collaborate with the internal stakeholders within the group to align on agreements and organisational goals;
- Draft, review, revise, negotiate, manage, and identify any associated risks in (as necessary) clinical trial-associated agreements, including data protection aspects, under the guidance of the Group Head of Legal and Assistant Legal Counsel.
- Support improvements and initiatives within the Integrated Legal Team and internal stakeholders in relation to clinical trials;
- Ensure deadlines are met and take appropriate action to ensure that work is completed to given timescales.
- Provide support for continuous improvement in order to manage effective management;
- Maintain updated knowledge of legal developments in clinical research, including local and international regulations.
- Prepare, update and review legal department presentations and training materials, including internal Standard Operating Procedures in relation to clinical trials.
- Experienced paralegal with a degree in law or equivalent experience;
- Minimum of 2 years experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating CTAs or similar healthcare/pharmaceutical contracts;
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial in-house experience;
- Strong knowledge of clinical trial processes and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ICH GCP, FDA, EMA);
- Familiarity with intellectual property rights, data protection laws (HIPAA, GDPR), and anti-bribery laws (e.g., FCPA, UK Bribery Act);
- Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment;
- Meticulous attention to detail;
- Relevant experience in leading planning processes with excellent organisational and collaboration skills;
- Proven ability to influence, (appropriately) challenge and engage diverse stakeholders;
- Prior in-house experience at a CRO, pharmaceutical company, or biotech organisation;
- Experience with international clinical trial agreements and understanding of global regulatory requirements;
- Collegiate, professional approach and an ability to work as part of a team or independently as required;
- Proven legal analytical and drafting skills, with excellent command in both verbal and written English;
- Fluency in written and verbal commercial English is a must;
- Fluency in another language or experience of having responsibility for contractual or legal matters in another country would be a bonus.
