About the role:
Winona is seeking a passionate and experienced fulltime remote Organic Social Manager to lead our social media efforts and drive engagement with our target audience of women aged 35-59 seeking menopause treatment solutions. In this role, you will craft and execute innovative content strategies, build strong community engagement, and analyze performance metrics to ensure our content aligns with brand objectives and resonates with our audience.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive content strategy tailored to Winona's target audience, ensuring alignment with our brand voice, values, and marketing goals. This includes creating engaging, informative, and empowering content that highlights Winona’s expertise and menopause treatment solutions while collaborating with the marketing team to maintain a dynamic content calendar.
You will oversee the creation, editing, and publishing of content across multiple platforms. All content must remain accurate, on-brand and up to date. Collaboration with PR, email, and other marketing departments within Winona is essential to ensure consistency and amplify the impact of the content. Building and maintaining an active and supportive online community will also be a key aspect of this role. This includes fostering meaningful engagement with followers, working with patient services to address inquiries professionally, and designing strategies to promote content through social media campaigns, email marketing, partnerships, and influencer collaborations.
You will monitor content performance using analytics tools, evaluate engagement, conversions, and audience behavior, and provide regular performance reports with actionable insights to refine and optimize the content strategy.
In addition, you will collaborate closely with ad buyers, lifecycle marketing teams, and content writers to ensure coordinated efforts and consistency across messaging. Staying informed about emerging social media trends and practices will help enhance Winona’s digital presence.
You will oversee and manage Winona's social media accounts, fostering positive and constructive conversations among patients. Leading content planning meetings and initiatives will ensure all efforts align with strategic objectives. Identifying opportunities to streamline content planning processes and improve team productivity will also be part of your responsibilities.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5+ years of proven experience in social media strategy, content creation, and community management, preferably in healthcare or wellness industries. A strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and a passion for keeping up with trends is essential. Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, are critical for success in this role. A passion for empowering women and addressing health and wellness is highly valued.
Leadership experience is a nice to have. Experience in a fast-paced environment and the ability to learn and adapt quickly is preferred.

Technical Requirements:
A qualified Social Media Manager should demonstrate expertise in content strategy and management, including the ability to develop comprehensive strategies tailored to specific target audiences. They should have a deep understanding of popular social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and Pinterest, as well as emerging platforms, with a focus on platform-specific best practices. Proficiency in crafting compelling copy, visual storytelling, and multimedia content like graphics, videos, and reels is essential, along with experience in creating and maintaining detailed content calendars to ensure consistent publishing.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for effective audience engagement and community building, including professionally addressing customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback. Knowledge of influencer marketing strategies is also valuable for amplifying brand reach.
The ability to analyze performance metrics using analytics tools, track key performance indicators (KPIs) like engagement rates and audience growth, and draw actionable insights to adapt strategies is crucial. Experience with A/B testing to determine what content resonates best with the target audience further enhances their skill set.
Collaboration and workflow management are key components of the role. A successful candidate should have strong teamwork skills to work across departments, including PR, email marketing, and content writing teams. They should also have project management experience and the ability to lead content planning meetings and guide creative teams toward unified goals.
A solid foundation in digital marketing fundamentals, such as email marketing, paid advertising, and organic growth strategies, is important. The candidate should also possess an understanding of the demographics, psychographics, and behaviors of women aged 35-59, with a focus on menopause-specific content. Awareness of healthcare and wellness trends, particularly in women’s health, will help create relevant and impactful content.
Finally, a strong Social Media Manager should demonstrate creativity and innovation, with the ability to think outside the box to craft engaging and shareable content. They should be adaptable to rapidly changing social media trends and algorithm updates, possess exceptional time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines, and exhibit problem-solving abilities to address challenges effectively. Empathy and sensitivity to the needs of women experiencing menopause are essential to crafting authentic and relatable content that truly connects with the audience.
