About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Data Analytics and Insights to join the Sustainability team at Worldly. The Sustainability team is responsible for sustainability science, data engineering, internal metrics, AI/ML, and the development of customer-facing analytics and insights. This is a crucial leadership role that will require a "player-coach" who can deliver as an exceptional individual contributor while providing leadership and strategic vision for the team. The Director will build and inspire a high-performing team of analysts, data scientists, AI/ML modelers, and BI professionals. This leader will partner closely with our Executive team to increase the value and actionability of our dataset for customers. 

What You'll Do

  • Develop and lead the implementation of a comprehensive data analytics strategy that dovetails and aligns with the parallel work being undertaken by our product team. This strategy needs to meet the needs of our customers and internal teams and will require close collaboration with the Product, Marketing, and Growth teams. 

  • Build and mentor a high-performing data analytics team that will include a nascent AI function while actively contributing to advanced analytical projects.

  • Design and implement advanced models, techniques, and visualizations to extract insights across data sources.

  • Find, assess, integrate, and manage both internal and new external data sources to generate new insights while ensuring integrity, quality, privacy, and security.

  • Communicate insights effectively to technical/non-technical audiences through reporting, metrics, and consultative support

  • Work with Product Management to help formulate and implement an AI strategy for our data and methodologies, including an AI policy that establishes guidelines on appropriate use cases and limitations

We'd Like to See

  • 8-10+ years of data analytics/BI experience with a proven leadership track record.

  • Strong skills: data manipulation, statistics, programming, visualization tools, NLP, high-dimensional data.

  • Experience and familiarity with corporate sustainability data and/or climate datasets is preferred. 

  • Excellent analytical abilities to translate complex data into actionable insights and solve problems.

  • Outstanding communication skills to convey technical concepts across audiences.

  • Solid project management expertise to oversee priorities, drive adoption, and ensure compliance.

  • Ability to make judicious tradeoffs, engage with executives and perform as both an individual contributor and team leader.

Compensation

Salary: $180,000 - $210,000 Annually (USD)

Bonus: 15% Annually

Incentive Stock Option Package

Work-From-Home stipend

*Final compensation figures will be determined based on a wide variety of factors, including experience and location. These factors will be evaluated and considered by Worldly throughout the entirety of this process.
