The Role
As a Senior React Engineer, you will be at the forefront of enhancing our internal SaaS platform and building innovative external, client-facing applications with a focus on business outcomes. Collaborating closely with our Product and UX team, you will accelerate the development lifecycle, ensuring that our applications are intuitive, responsive, and seamlessly integrated with our core API and third-party solutions from Google and other vendors. Your role will involve strategic planning, collaboration with senior management, and mentoring other developers. You will drive the delivery speed and quality of our web applications, implementing cutting-edge technologies and fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
The System
At Wpromote, we're developing something special called Polaris - a modern data and marketing intelligence platform that gives our clients a serious edge over their competition. The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $130,000 - $165,000, based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and the respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. At Wpromote, pay ranges are subject to change and are based on specific market medians for similar jobs according to third-party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary due to skills, experience, and available budget. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above).
*This position may be performed remotely in most states within the US, with some exclusions

\n- Act as a technical leader and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in React development
- Collaborate with UX designers to create user-centric interfaces that enhance the user experience
- Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and maintainable React applications
- Integrate applications with our core Django-based API and third-party solutions from Google and other vendors
- Advocate for test-driven development and assist QA in developing a reliable process for continuous integration and delivery
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of web applications
- Architect solutions and reusable patterns that scale with business needs
- Carefully balance leveraging custom and contributed software components to best suit the project needs
- Provide implementation, configuration, and deployment documentation
- Proactively address issues and problems, generating and implementing innovative solutions
- Participate in all agile ceremonies, including daily standups and regular sprint planning
- Mentor other developers and foster a culture of technical excellence
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation in React development practices
- 7-9 years of experience in software development, with extensive experience in React and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Proven expertise in building and maintaining complex React applications
- Deep experience with state management libraries such as Redux or MobX
- Mastery of modern front-end build pipelines and tools, including Webpack, Babel, and NPM
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with API integrations
- Experience with backend technologies, preferably Django, to effectively collaborate on API integration
- Good understanding of front-end testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Cypress
- Experience with deployment pipelines such as GitHub Actions to enforce code quality and standards
- Strong command of agile methodologies, continuous integration, and test-driven development
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and technical leadership
- Ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams and projects
