The Opportunity – Senior Platform Engineer I (Remote - USA / CANADA)

Wrapbook is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer I who will play a hands-on role in driving our mission to build an outstanding technology company. You will be working as part of a cross-functional team, collaborating with product, security and analytics engineers to build and strengthen our internal developer and data platforms.

The Platform Group is responsible for enabling Wrapbook to easily deliver a stable, secure, reliable and performant product to its customers.

What you'll do:

  • Design and build new tools to automate the software release process

  • Improve the monitoring of our systems by identifying gaps and/or inefficiencies and proposing solutions

  • Work closely with other platform engineers, product developers and analytics engineers to find, define and resolve performance and scalability bottlenecks

  • Plan the growth of Wrapbook’s infrastructure

  • Participate in on-call rotation to respond to incidents that impact Wrapbook’s availability and provide support for product engineers with customer incidents

  • Use your on-call shift to prevent recurrence of incidents

What you’ll have:

  • You have a strong understanding of infrastructure technologies such as virtualization, containerization and cloud computing

  • Experience running applications at scale in Kubernetes

  • You have familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems

  • You have a grasp on networking principles and protocols

  • You have experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools

  • Experience handling critical incidents for production systems

  • You have experience working with product and data engineering teams

  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Ruby or Bash. Experience with Go is a plus

Nice to have

  • Experience with RDMS such as PostgreSQL

  • Experience with document-oriented databases such as Elasticsearch

  • Experience with data warehousing tools, techniques and practices
