How you’ll make an impact
This role is a pivotal player in our core financial planning and analysis activities at Xero. You will be part of the small team that refines and executes our budget and forecasting process, and contribute directly to how we model our business through our implementation of Anaplan. Our team thrives when we generate meaningful, actionable insights for the business and you’ll have the opportunity to do this through independent and collaborative analyses, regular reporting, and special projects. Your expertise in financial modeling and strength of communication will be key to success - for you and for your ability to positively influence business outcomes. As Xero Corporate FP&A’s first Senior Analyst based in North America, you’ll have a unique opportunity to partner closely with Northern Hemisphere leadership, while staying connected with colleagues and projects across the globe.
What you'll do
• Financial Modeling: Create and maintain financial models to assess potential scenarios, risks, and opportunities, and support strategic decision-making. Refine our existing models with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Actionable Insights: Deliver data-backed insights to leadership within and outside of Finance, working across multiple portfolios and down the full P&L to drive faster and better decision making.
• Keeping the Business Informed: Produce timely, clear, and accurate reporting on performance. Communicate findings with the right audience, recommending responses or further analyses.
• Financial Systems Transformation: Provide support for financial systems, including contributing to our migration from Adaptive to Anaplan. Along with your team, you will develop an understanding of the goals of multiple stakeholders and critically assess our Anaplan model to ensure it is delivering the best possible outcome, both as we build and on an ongoing basis. You will become adept at finding information and model building within the Anaplan environment.
• Long Term Planning: Help shape and execute long-term and annual financial planning processes.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across the organization to consistently demonstrate the value of cross-functional finance partnership.

What you'll bring with you
• 3-5 years relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
• Experience in investment banking, private equity or high growth technology / SaaS business would be a bonus
• Anaplan and basic SQL experience is a big plus
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent modeling and forecasting skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Problem solving skills, innovative thinker
• Demonstrated ability to take data and create a story that resonates with audiences and drive action
