Zimperium, a global leader in mobile device and application security, is looking to hire a Senior Revenue Accountant. This role reports to the Controller and is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting related to revenue recognition compliance. The role works closely with the Sales, Customer Support, and business teams to contribute to cross-functional activities and implement a strategy focused to enhance revenue recognition efficiency and compliance across the organization.
Detailed Responsibilities: Revenue Focus
· Perform month-end revenue close procedures and controls, including the review of existing recurring new contracts, booking journal entries, and maintaining reconciliations associated with revenue, deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, contra deferred revenue, and related deferred contract costs expense.
· Ensure revenue GAAP compliance by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures and to cross departmental teams and leadership.
· Set up revenue arrangements in accordance with the Zimperium’s revenue policies.
· Analyze revenue trends, prepare monthly revenue analysis, and other internal reporting metrics.
· Oversight to internal teams for revenue recognition, contract review, inquiries related to customer contracts, revenue impacts, and alignment with bad debt expense.
· Responsible for documentation of Zimperium’s revenue policy.
· Collaborate with internal teams to support revenue to ARR variance.
General Accounting Focus:
· Responsible for recording monthly payroll and commission accrual entries along with maintaining associated reconciliations.
· Prepare monthly flux analysis.
· Assist with interim and annual financial audits.
· Drive process improvements through the automation of systems, creation of key reports, and documentation of related business process policies and procedures.
· Cross-functionally build trust with other departments to create relationships, share insights, and initiate process improvements to increase operational efficiency while maintaining data integrity and understanding the downstream impact to reporting.
· Contributor to NetSuite ERP conversion from QuickBooks.
· Ad hoc special projects and other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
· 5+ years of accounting experience
· SaaS software experience
· Revenue recognition experience
· Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
· Motivated, positive attitude, and team-oriented
· Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel skills, and ability to think strategically and implement tactically.
· Adept at approaching complex and non-routine processes from multiple angles and providing business guidance on solutions to issues arising from operations.
· Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic, and changing environment.
· Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Salesforce a plus.
