What it is
Our Patient Care Advocates provide complete support to 9amHealth members. You will be an essential part of the overall care team and work directly with members by phone, text, and messaging. You’ll also work closely with our clinical specialists to ensure a seamless healthcare experience for our members. You’ll be the first point of contact for members. Answering questions about everything from the enrollment process to their care experience along with connecting our members to the right team member to quickly and kindly address their questions and concerns. You will be a part of a small, empathetic, and motivated team who excels at communicating openly, giving and receiving feedback, and caring deeply for each and every member. In the spirit of transparency, we anticipate hiring for this position in Q4.
What you’ll do
Provide technical and product support via messaging and calls to our patients in a timely manner
Become an expert on our product and all the services we offer
Assist members with navigating complicated approval processes with insurance plans
Identify trends that may impact larger customer base and communicate these to the team
Create and maintain a comprehensive FAQ/resource page
Maintain a positive and empathetic attitude in all the work you do
Meet and exceed customer satisfaction metrics daily!
What you’ll need
Minimum Qualifications
Passionate about patient-centered care and improving healthcare
Strong written, phone, and video communication skills
Experience using customer support platforms
Work well independently
Adaptable and comfortable with change
Positive, innovative, and empathetic
Live in the United States
A quiet, distraction free dedicated work space
Preferred Qualifications
Speak Spanish
Able to work evenings and one weekend a month
Knowledgeable about type 2 diabetes
Have experience working on an international team
Have worked in the start-up world before
Knowledge of the Prior Authorization process and Medical Billing
