Job Title: Paralegal - Active Pooling
Work Schedule: Remote within the US Timezones (EST/PST/CST)
About the Role:
The Paralegal will assist attorneys in preparing cases by conducting legal research, drafting documents, and managing case files. This position is perfect for detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced legal environment and are passionate about supporting clients through the legal process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research on various topics and summarize findings for attorney review.
- Draft and edit legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements.
- Manage case files and maintain organized documentation for easy access.
- Assist in preparing for court hearings, including organizing exhibits and relevant evidence.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information.
- Monitor case progress, ensuring all deadlines are met and case management systems are updated.
- Perform administrative tasks, including filing documents with the court and managing calendars.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation and other legal proceedings.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or legal department.
- Possess a paralegal certificate or legal degree is preferred.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
