We are seeking an Assistant Marketing Manager, Brand Marketing who displays strong characteristics of AIP Publishing’s cultural principles: Progressive; Researcher-Focused; Experimental; Equitable; Authentic; Action-Oriented; and Collaborative to play a pivotal role in implementing strategic marketing plans for a portfolio our AIPP and member society products and contribute to the overall AIPP brand strategy.
The Assistant Marketing Manager, Brand Marketing reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, Brand Marketing will work with key stakeholders to plan and execute marketing engagement activities designed to drive awareness and usage of new and existing products and help global researchers in the physical sciences make an impact with their publications. You will help make AIP Publishing the first-choice publisher for the next generation of authors and readers in the physical sciences in new and emerging markets.
This position works within a team environment to collectively achieve our strategic goals of expanding the overall market influence of AIP Publishing and our publishing partners, and to help authors expand their impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Sr. Marketing Manager and key stakeholders to develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns to promote our publications and increase brand awareness.
- Coordinate marketing activities, including creating marketing plans, promotional materials, and organizing events.
- Work with the operations team to execute digital marketing initiatives, including email marketing, social media campaigns, and online advertising, to reach our target audience and drive engagement.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive insights to support product strategy and positioning.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including editorial and marketing teams, to align marketing activities with business objectives and ensure seamless execution.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Provide tools and resources for internal and external stakeholders that enable them to effectively represent our products and AIPP brand.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in academic publishing and marketing, applying knowledge to enhance marketing performance.
- Attend conferences and organize editor/researcher events to promote AIPP and Member Society journals and products.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should have:
- 2-5 years of experience executing marketing campaigns. Experience in scholarly publishing is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret data to help inform decisions.

$60,000 - $80,000
Salary within the above posted range is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience.
