The Content Marketing Manager is a customer-centric storyteller, copywriter, and data analyst directly responsible for the planning, producing, and analyzing of high-quality content that attracts, engages, and retains customers. The role requires a collaborative, social media-first, critical thinking creator to develop a multi-channel content marketing strategy that builds strong relationships by addressing the needs and interests of our various audience segments and lifecycle stages. The content marketing strategy will shape and deliver a value-focused narrative to audiences that persuades audiences to act and ultimately drives lifecycle conversions.
The Content Marketing Manager, reporting to the Director of Audience Engagement, will collaborate cross functionally to develop and execute a visionary, comprehensive content marketing strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pitch your ideas and bring them to life – you’re a key contributor to our lifecycle strategy
- Investigate topics by researching scholarly publishing trends, AIPP news, marketing best practices, competitor intelligence, and emerging technologies
- Know your audience, what they need, what they're asking, and how we can support them
- Have a clear command of our lifecycle goals, messaging, and values.
- Breathe new life into existing assets across email, social, products, and websites
Requirements:
- 5+ years of direct B2C content creation experience supporting lead generation, demand generation, acquisition marketing, performance marketing, or prospect marketing
- 3+ years of direct B2C content strategy experience supporting lead generation, demand generation, acquisition marketing, performance marketing, or prospect marketing
- BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or relevant field
- Excellent grammar, copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong project management skills, and can manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of marketing platforms, ex: HubSpot, WordPress
- Understanding of web publishing requirements
- Experience using insights like social media analytics, Google Analytics to optimize content
- Deep understanding of SEO best practices, content optimization techniques
Preferred Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Marketing, Publishing, Journalism or related field
- Deep understanding of scholarly publishing
- Experience with AI: Worldtune, Writesonic, SurferSEO, Grammarly, Word Rake, ChatGPT, Claude AI, Jasper, Copy.ai, Quillbot, etc.
- Experience with translation services
- Experience with online community building
- Experience with CRMs, CDPs, and marketing automation platforms
Capabilities:
- Plan, research, produce, socialize, and evaluate content for an integrated lifecycle strategy: social media posts, emails, surveys, gated content, videos, blog posts, ads, direct mail, SMS, SEO -friendly webpages
- Exemplary writer, consistent with our company’s tone and mission. You write clean, concise, well-polished, and influential copy that connects with personas at different lifecycle stages.
- Orchestrate content strategies across all channels and platforms to drive traffic and engagement towards conversions, and comfortable with testing content variants
- Ability to iterate, repurpose, and curate materials to fit various channels, mediums, and journeys, and be a key contributor to SEO strategy
- Create and maintain marketing’s editorial calendar

$90,000-$110,000
Salary within the above posted range is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience.
