Alabama Solutions is looking for a skilled Python Backend Engineer to shape product development and optimize backend services. This senior role requires a problem-solver who writes clean, scalable code and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a full-time contractor position. FLUENT ENGLISH is required as a must. English-Based communicational skills will be evaluated in depth, on-call, and mimicking a facing-the-client conversation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop maintainable, scalable backend solutions.
- Contribute to system design and architecture.
- Define and enhance technical best practices.
- Drive key projects in development, quality, and infrastructure.
- Foster a high-quality engineering culture and mentor junior engineers.
Must Have:
- Between 5-10 years of expertise writing code in Python
- Demonstrated success at building distributed systems that are scalable, easy to understand, and maintainable.
- CS, mathematics, or similar degree from a reputable university.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- AWS or GCP infrastructure experience.
- Must be based in LATAM.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in healthcare, fintech, or banking.
- Terraform and IaaC.
- Knowledge of NLP, Machine Learning, or LLMs.
