About the Role
As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Wheel, you will be responsible for building new products for our Patients Facing experiences that includes both front end UX as well as backend technologies like Kafka, workflows orchestration, etc.
What You’ll Do
Contribute towards making technology, framework, and architecture designs for Wheel’s systems alongside broader Engineering Team.
Ensure we’re constantly moving our product forward in a build-learn-iterate model.
Collaborate with product, design, and leadership to ideate and develop winning products that help move the business forward.
Design, build, deploy and maintain user experiences that scale with a high growth company.
Take ownership of new features, big and small, analyzing system and business metrics post-release.
Responsible for maintaining and managing production and improving the platform efficiency.
Who You Area
2+ years experience full-stack development building real-world web applications in production environments.
Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent is required.
You are a collaborative engineer and an empathetic person who works well within a diverse team.
Experience building web applications or SaaS products using modern open-source technologies.
You are curious, aware when to ask for help, and have a strong desire to make an impact.
Exemplary communication skills; able to explain possible solutions to non-technical team members.
Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Additional Core Competencies:
An understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and experience building client applications with modern frameworks such as React JS.
Strong HTML & CSS skills, with bonus points for experience with animation, knowledge of approaches to scalable/modular CSS, & preprocessors such as SCSS.
Experience building API applications with JavaScript frameworks such as Express.
Understanding of data models.
Experience with MySQL and creating database queries.
Experience with AWS is a nice to have.
