The Senior Content Marketing Manager is a critical (and fun!) role on Apollo.io’s marketing team. As an all-around extraordinary marketer with a track record of producing great content, you’ll be responsible for creating, delivering, and marketing extraordinary content programs to Apollo’s audience of over 1M active users, and to the broader universe of sales professionals everywhere.
You’ll lead the process end-to-end as Apollo creates industry-defining content programs across a variety of mediums, including printed books, ebooks, videos, webinars, articles, guides, Apollo Academy courses and more. You’ll set the strategy, produce the assets, place them in the market, optimize their distribution, report on your success, and incorporate your learnings into your next campaign.
The ideal candidate for this role has a well-rounded marketing background with experience starting new campaigns and programs from scratch. You’re an exceptional writer, project manager, and collaborator, are comfortable creating structure where there isn’t any, and are looking to have a big impact at a fast-growing company in your next role.
Experience in b2b sales or as a small business owner is a strong plus. Experience defining new categories and launching world-class programs with name-brand recognition is also a plus. If you’ve written a best-selling business book, you’ll set yourself apart.
Responsibilities:
- Own various content programs from end-to-end, including production, editing, publication, distribution, promotion and reporting
- Coordinate with other stakeholders at Apollo, our customers, and subject matter experts to create a pipeline of extraordinary content that meaningfully increases the activation and retention of Apollo’s users
- Work collaboratively with across Apollo to uplevel the efficacy of our content programs, introduce them to users at the right time, and drive results for the business
- Lead the production, distribution, and marketing of Apollo’s first-ever printed books, creating and defining a category and empowering a generation of business owners and salespeople in the process
This role is fully remote (but ideally based out of the US) and may require travel as part of the content production process.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in a relevant marketing or content marketing role, preferably including at least 1-2 years in a high-growth startup environment
- A portfolio of extraordinary content you’ve created and deployed in-market
- A demonstrated track record of driving meaningful results for the business from your campaigns and programs
- The ability to track, measure, and report on the efficacy of your programs
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Hubspot, search-engine optimization tools, Google Analytics, and other critical pieces of the marketing technology stack
- Experience managing contractor and agency relationships as part of the content creation process
- Experience and expertise in search engine optimization
- Experience building a robust content/media production workflow with customers or partners to generate content
- Experience marketing to or creating content for salespeople preferred
