As a Medical Director, you will report to the Chief Medical Officer and will be a key part of the Clinical Development team. In this role, you will contribute to the overall strategy for implementation as well as execution of all Artera evidence generation while being mindful of established timelines, budget and quality standards. You will serve as a key clinical voice across the company. You will be assigned responsibility for multiple clinical areas prioritized by the company, and your areas of disease focus may evolve over time.
\n- Serving as a clinical voice for R&D projects, key collaborators and strategic partnerships, health systems, and external communications.
- Represent Arteraโs clinical science to payors, regulators, scientific societies, and physicians
- Travel expected as much as as needed (up to 25% of time) for conferences and scientific interactions with potential customers
- Writing research proposals and manuscripts in collaboration with members of the Clinical Development and AI teams
- Developing biomarker clinical indications, product needs, data pipeline plans, and publication strategies for new and emerging biomarkers indications in various phases of development
- Contributing to the building of department infrastructure, including educational and scientific resources
- Building collaborative relationships with external data partners, as well as with key internal stakeholders including AI, Product Development, Managed Care, Market Access and Sales
- Working with artificial intelligence and clinical research teams to execute on evidence generation and publication plans; supporting the preparation of manuscripts to provide clarity on clinical impact
- Supporting expansion of disease-based indications or new yet-to-be determined disease indications
- MD or similar clinical degree
- Experience in clinical care and/or clinical research, including authorship in peer-reviewed biomedicine or clinical publications
- Board certification in radiation oncology or medical oncology
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in oncology and biomarker-based trials.
- Experience in team science across multi-disciplinary collaborations
- Experience in multi-institutional collaborations
- Experience leading extramural grant funding projects and teams
