About the Role:
Cargado is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Marketing to establish and scale our marketing department from the ground up. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to define and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy, shape our brand voice, and drive engagement across diverse audiences in a high-growth environment. As a key member of our leadership team, you’ll collaborate closely with the CEO to position Cargado as a market leader.
What You'll Do
Develop and Lead Marketing Strategy: Partner with the CEO and design team to craft a cohesive brand strategy and voice that resonates across our broker and carrier audiences.
Own Content and Thought Leadership: Lead the creation, curation, and distribution of high-impact content, leveraging the CEO’s organic following to amplify Cargado’s presence in the US-Mexico freight market.
Build and Optimize Multi-Channel Campaigns: Design and execute comprehensive paid and organic campaigns to drive brand growth, user acquisition, and engagement across digital, social, and offline channels.
Drive Product Marketing: Collaborate with the product and operations teams to plan and execute impactful launches and customer education initiatives that enhance adoption and retention.
Define Field Marketing Strategy: Lead field marketing efforts, identifying investment opportunities to deepen customer relationships and expand market reach.
Innovate with Audience Engagement: Bring creative and data-driven ideas to the table, introducing fresh ways to connect with niche audiences and elevate Cargado’s visibility.
Establish Marketing Metrics and Accountability: Set and track KPIs to measure success, iterate on strategies, and ensure alignment with business goals.
About You:
Strategic Vision with Tactical Execution: 5+ years of experience in marketing leadership, with a proven track record of building and scaling marketing teams in high-growth or startup environments.
Innovative and Audience-Focused: Creative thinker with a passion for engaging niche audiences through personalized and out-of-the-box campaigns.
Content Savvy: Expertise across diverse content channels, with an ability to adapt to evolving trends and emerging platforms. Experience in ghostwriting or developing thought leadership is a plus.
Marketplace and Consumer Marketing Proficiency: Experience in marketing a consumer product or marketplace is highly desirable, but freight industry experience is not required.
Metrics-Driven Leader: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data to inform marketing strategies.
Growth-Oriented: A collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and drive results from strategy to execution.
