Job Summary:
Join Real Brokerage as a pivotal member of our Legal Department in the role of Paralegal. You will play a vital part in various legal support functions, including assisting with Board of Directors’ meetings and providing administrative support for litigation matters. Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing materials for meetings of the company’s Board of Directors, including resolutions.
Maintain corporate governance/minute books for all North American entities. Work with international counsel on corporate governance/minute books for all international entities.
Type business letters, memorandums, presentations, and other correspondence in an accurate and timely manner;
Create and edit presentations/spreadsheets;
Establish and maintain appropriate documentation and files as needed;
Manage large amounts of documents electronic and paper; work with organizing, indexing and tracking files; form new entities, obtain EINs, good standing certificates and related legal documents, increasing responsibility as knowledge base expands.
Communicate effectively up, down and across the company to gather information needed by the team, and to share information as appropriate. Requires gaining a thorough knowledge of company policies, practices and people, particularly as it relates to the work of the teams supported. Also requires building and maintaining good relationships with internal and external contacts.
Project tasks and project management responsibilities, as assigned from time-to-time.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Subsidiary governance experience.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability and excellent written communication skills are essential.
A willingness to dig-in and learn new technology is critical. This role requires digital fluency or – at a minimum – a willingness to learn.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
PowerPoint expertise – including a strong eye for creating attractive, well formatted presentations – is a significant plus.
Notary public certification is a plus but not required.
Education and Experience:
Experience in a law firm or in-house corporate environment working specifically on public company reporting matters.
Subsidiary governance experience.
College degree preferred. Juris Doctor degree encouraged.
