What are we looking for?
Skills Required:
- Experience: Prior experience as a legal assistant, preferably in estate planning or probate law.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using CLIO and WealthCounsel software or similar legal technology. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive client information with accuracy and confidentiality. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to professionally interact with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time management and multitasking abilities. Capacity to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
What will you do?
- Data Entry:
- Accurately enter client information and case details into CLIO legal software.
- Maintain up-to-date and organized digital client files in compliance with firm policies.
- Document Drafting and Preparation:
- Use WealthCounsel software to draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related legal forms.
- Assemble comprehensive estate plans for clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm standards.
- Client and Attorney Support:
- Coordinate with attorneys to ensure the timely preparation and review of documents.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding document status and basic inquiries.
- Administrative Duties:
- Schedule appointments and maintain the firm’s calendar.
- Prepare and organize files for meetings and court appearances.
- Assist with tracking and managing deadlines for filings and other key tasks.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with attorney to ensure seamless workflow and case management.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
