Summary:
Azure Infrastructure Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting Azure cloud environments for clients. This role involves deploying, managing, and optimizing Azure resources while ensuring their security, performance, and compliance. The engineer collaborates with clients, cross-functional teams, and senior engineers to provide exceptional support for our managed services client portfolio.
\n- Assist in the deployment and configuration of Azure resources, including virtual machines, databases, and Azure App Services following best practices and client requirements.
- Utilize Azure Migrate to assist with migration projects.
- Monitor the performance, security, and availability of Azure services and promptly address any issues or outages.
- Perform server updates and apply security patches.
- Identify future engagement opportunities during existing client engagements and convey those needs to account executives and practice leadership.
- Participate in an on-call rotation
- After hours / weekend work may be a required
- All other duties as assigned
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications in Information Technology, or a related field are a plus.
- Accountability to drive resolution to completion.
- Familiarity with the Azure Portal.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common problems efficiently.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell / Azure CLI) to automate tasks, deploy resources, and manage Azure infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders
- Two or more years in IT or working with cloud technology
- Experience working for an MSP
- Ability to identify and resolve common Azure-related issues, including network configurations, security settings, and performance optimization.
- Create detailed documentation for configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and solutions
