We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our team. This position focuses on building models in Python that are executed within the Snowflake platform using Snowpark. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, a clear understanding of Snowflake architecture, and a background in developing predictive and statistical models, with experience in the marketing industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop robust models in Python, leveraging Snowflake and Snowpark for deployment and execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and architecture, to ensure seamless model integration and deployment.
- Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that address complex business challenges.
- Build predictive models and propose innovative solutions using appropriate statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
- Communicate results and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
- Ensure data integrity, address imperfections in datasets, and integrate varied structured and semi-structured data sources.
- Implement solid validation processes to minimize errors and enhance model accuracy and reliability.
- Identify meaningful data visualizations to communicate findings and highlight business impact.
- Stay up to date on advancements in data science, Snowflake, and Python to champion innovative approaches and tools.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 4 years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python, including experience building models for execution within Snowflake using Snowpark.
- Knowledge of Snowflake architecture and its integration with Python for data science use cases.
- Understanding of machine learning and predictive analytics concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Familiarity with SQL for querying databases; NoSQL knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, remote environment with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
- Familiarity with marketing data science problems like customer segmentation, personalization, churn analysis, dynamic pricing optimization, visual merchandising optimization, demand forecasting with seasonality, and marketing campaign performance forecasting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience with Alteryx.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure (Preferred), AWS, or GCP.
- Food service and specialty retail industry
- Prior experience working in consulting or client-facing roles.
- Understanding of big data infrastructure like Hadoop, Spark, or similar technologies.
