Our client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Financial/Data Analyst to join their finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing data from various sources such as Excel and POS reports to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in our fast-food restaurant operations. Your analysis will provide valuable insights that support decision-making and drive financial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial and operational data from Excel, POS reports, and other sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Prepare and present reports on financial performance, including key metrics and KPIs, to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance across different restaurant locations, identifying areas of improvement and recommending solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, marketing) to understand data needs and support business initiatives.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualization tools to present complex data in an easy-to-understand format.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for deviations from budgeted or expected results.
- Work with the finance team to support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Monitor and assess financial risks and opportunities across the business, offering recommendations for risk mitigation and revenue growth.
- Assist with ad-hoc analysis and projects as requested by management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve analytical techniques and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Financial/Data Analyst, preferably in the fast food or restaurant industry.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and experience working with POS systems and other data sources.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data sets.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to various audiences.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data analytics or business intelligence tools.
- Knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages.
- Familiarity with accounting and finance principles.
- Client Relationship: You will be directly working with the client. This means that you will communicate with the client, provide services, and address any client-related matters independently.
- Payment: All payments for your services will be handled directly by the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you.
- Vacation Leaves and Holidays: While we may have recommendations or guidelines regarding vacation leaves and holidays, the decision is entirely at the discretion of the client. You are expected to align your schedule with the client's business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard.
Salary: $1000 - $1500
