Job Description:
The Business Application Consultant is responsible for providing high quality consulting and training services to a wide range of client users and maintains a current and in-depth knowledge of the functional and feature characteristics of Elite 3E products. The Business Application Consultant uses their professional services expertise in legal practice management software systems (billing, financial management, multi-currency/company a plus, third party interfaces, and reporting) to provide best practice recommendations and consulting services.
What You'll Do:
- Provide billable consulting services to 3E clients in the form of configuration, training, process and solutions design and assistance with user acceptance testing, go live, month end.
- Provide consulting services on General Ledger, Financial Reporting (Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet) and translating how accounting requirements can be implemented in the software. Confidence to converse with CFO, Finance Managers, Accountants and Finance Teams on how to configure transactions posting from subsystems to the GL, multicurrency configuration and FX revaluations, GL allocations, bank reconciliation, GL balancing and financial report writing.
- Lead workshops to discuss client requirements for assigned projects and work with Project Management and technical services to translate requirements into specific plans and tasks in line with the implementation methodology.
- Produce required project documentation (eg Software Requirement Specifications, Training Strategy, Testing Strategy, Activity Recaps).
- Actively pursue issue resolution and communicate project issues to stakeholders (e.g. other consulting team members, Support Desk, Project Manager, Client) to ensure that issues affecting projects are quickly and effectively resolved.
- Work collaboratively across different departments and groups within a matrix organization
- Deliver project tasks within scope according to budget and schedule.
- Maintain an up-to-date functional knowledge of the software.
- Work as part of a remote team and contribute to the learning and development of team members and participate in team and internal initiatives and projects.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Accounting, or information technology, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar roles, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Strong expertise in General Ledger functionalities, Financial Report Writing, and a solid understanding of accounting principles; prior experience as an Accountant or Systems Accountant is advantageous.
- Demonstrated analytical and process design skills, with a focus on problem-solving and workflow process definition.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a hands-on approach to ensure timely project completion while effectively prioritizing tasks.
- Proficiency in English, with excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time, with potential increases based on business and client requirements.
- Experience with Legal practice management software system implementations (such as Elite Enterprise, Elite 3E, or similar) preferred; familiarity with ERP system implementations (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) focusing on financial modules is also helpful.
