The Opportunity
Are you a self-motivated sales engineer that wants to make money selling an innovative technology, while also solving crime? If you thrive in a competitive, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment, this is a game-changing opportunity for you. Flock is looking to add a Sales Engineer to our growing law enforcement sales team. This person will play a key role in helping Flock grow by refining the sales process and removing barriers for the sales team. Your primary customer base are Law Enforcement agencies. This position is based out of your home office with up to 50% travel required.
How you’ll make an impact:
Become a product expert; develop in depth knowledge of Flock’s products at the same technical level of our product team.
Maintain proficiency with solutions as they evolve and compare to the competitive landscape.
Become an industry expert; develop intense understanding of Flock’s product use cases and personas.
Strong documentation skills to accurately define Scope of projects.
Present and effectively demonstrate product capabilities.
Articulate business value of solution capabilities to command level staff as well as technical audiences.
Contribute to meeting (or exceeding) monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
Foster strong relationships with Sales Reps within your territory.
Provide trade show and demonstration support for marketing events.
Lead process of researching, composing, and delivering responses to RFI/RFPs.
Effectively transition accounts to Deployment Planning and Project Management.
Act as primary liaison between sales and other internal stakeholders.
We’re looking for people who:
2-5 years of sales engineering experience with an emphasis on SaaS solutions or technology sales.
Self-starter mentality with a willingness to learn, take initiative, and produce results in a defined territory.
Experience working cross-functionally acting as a liaison between sales and other internal departments
Comfortable becoming familiar with software and various hardware devices, in order to become the subject matter expert for the sales team
Strong presentation and demonstration skills, both in person and virtually.
Energized by solving customer's problems- e.g. consultative sales approach.
Enjoy working in a fast paced, data-driven sales environment.
Strong Understanding of networking.
RFP/RFI experience.
Understanding of RTSP protocol and VMS systems is a plus.
Experience with crime mapping and/or mapping tools is a plus.

90 Days at Flock:
We are a results-oriented culture and believe job descriptions are a thing of the past. We prescribe to 90 day plans and believe that good days, lead to good weeks, which lead to good months. This serves as a preview of the 90 day plan you will receive if you were to be hired as a Solutions Engineer at Flock Safety.
The First 30 Days
In the first 30 days, you'll meet the team, establish working knowledge/proficiency of hardware and software, learn customer profiles and familiarize yourself with all Flock OS demo scenarios.
The First 60 Days
In the first 60 days, you will learn about FlockOS integrations, assist in technical questions for our RFP process and security questionnaire, establish relationships with Sales Reps and begin to assist in selling by joining and leading calls with another SE, and be able to integrate customer streams.
90 Days & Beyond
At the end of 90 days, you are rolling. You have begun to master product functionality, and are comfortable with what it takes to get a Flock OS customer up and running. You'll be able to own RFP and Security Questionnaires and run your own Demo and Discovery Calls.
The Interview Process:
We want our interview process to be a true reflection of our culture: transparent and collaborative. Throughout the interview process, your recruiter will guide you through the next steps and ensure you feel prepared every step of the way.
Our First Chat: During this first conversation, you’ll meet with a recruiter to chat through your background, what you could bring to Flock, what you are looking for in your next role, and who we are.
The Hiring Manager Interview: You will meet with your potential future boss to really dive into the role, the team, expectations, and what success means at Flock. This is your chance to really nerd out with someone in your field.
Peer Interview: You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.
The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more.

💰Salary & Equity: In this role, you’ll receive a base salary of $115,000-$140,000, as well as stock options and bonus plan.
