Job Summary:
FreedX is seeking a Crypto Compliance Analyst that will be responsible for end-to-end compliance processes including customer onboarding, KYC verification, and ongoing transaction monitoring for a cryptocurrency exchange.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of customer due diligence and KYC verification
- Monitor and analyse cryptocurrency transactions for suspicious activities
- Conduct blockchain analysis and investigate suspicious patterns
- Review and verify customer documentation and background checks
- Escalate suspicious or high-risk cases to senior compliance team members for further review
- Oversee automated systems and robotic functions for any irregular patterns of activity or technical bugs, escalating issues when required
- Work closely with external service providers to facilitate a seamless client onboarding process and ensure accuracy in transaction monitoring
- Manage requests from both internal and external customers regarding onboarding applications and transaction inquiries, in line with defined SLAs
- Maintain comprehensive compliance records
- Assist in developing and updating compliance policies
- Collaborate with legal and technology teams on compliance matters
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Law, business or related field
- 3+ years combined experience in KYC/AML and transaction monitoring
- Strong understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency operations
- Proficiency in both KYC verification and blockchain analytics tools
- Comprehensive knowledge of global cryptocurrency regulations
- Experience with both customer due diligence and transaction monitoring
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities
Preferred attributes:
- Certification in AML/CFT preferred (CAMS, CFE, or equivalent)
- Experience with crypto exchange operations and compliance frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work types effectively
- Strong project management and organizational skills
