About the Role:
We are seeking an intermediate Product Designer to join our Product & Engineering team and contribute to building Helika’s diverse product offerings for game studios. As a Product Designer, you will simplify complex technical and business problems into seamless, intuitive product experiences from discovery to delivery. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and the design team to balance user experience, product quality, and technicality in the agile product development life cycle. In addition, your expertise in design systems will be instrumental in shaping and maintaining cohesive experiences across various streams of our products. Reporting to the Product Design Lead, this is a fully remote, high-impact role with ample opportunities to grow and shape the future of Helika products.
Key Responsibilities:
Champion the user experience and design execution of various product features from discovery to delivery.
Partner cross-functionally with design, product management, engineering, and other key stakeholders to drive projects forward.
Design, collaborate, and iterate on various design artifacts, including but not limited to user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and documentation.
Contribute to evolving a design system, ensuring consistency and scalability over time.
Contribute to startup culture and the small design team by actively participating in team rituals, fostering collaboration, and bringing accountability and autonomy for fast, effective delivery to the team.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a Product Designer role, ideally in a startup environment, with a strong portfolio and case studies that showcase your design skills and thought process.
Expertise in designing interfaces for intricate web and mobile software applications, such as analytics, marketing tech, developer tools, content management, or robust consumer products.
Strong understanding of user experience principles and the ability to seek and understand the “why” behind requirements and translate them into simple, effective design solutions cohesively across different areas.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present designs with clear rationale in verbal and written formats, create cross-functional alignment, push for clarity by asking good questions—and seek help when necessary.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, embracing ambiguity, excelling at iterative improvements, and demonstrating adaptability with low ego.
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools, such as Figma, Figjam, and other project management and documentation tools.
Experience with gaming and Web3/dApps an asset.
