JeffreyM is looking for a Social Media Strategist/Copywriter to join our team. You will develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase our brand awareness while drafting copy on produced assets to further support the line of business and its goals.
**This is a contract position planning to start July 1st and go through June 30, 2025 with a high chance to extend**
Responsibilities
- Design social media strategies to achieve marketing targets.
- Draft social media copy across platforms and content types.
- Administer all company social media accounts ensuring up to date content.
- Liaise with designers to ensure content is informative and appealing.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product development teams to create social ‘buzz’ regarding new product launches.
- Facilitate client-company communication.
- Identify new content opportunities and unmet needs, leveraging your industry knowledge, cultural trends, customer research, available reports, and customer signals.
- Conduct ongoing industry research on social media for individual categories to inform recommendations.
- Create alignment of content strategy with Jobs to Be Done framework from product teams
- Stay up to date with new digital technologies and social media best practices.
- Excellent project management skills and experience creating workback schedules for complex projects with multiple dates and deliverables. Must be able to self-direct and prioritize competing goals and changing priorities.
- Works alongside designers to generate creative concepts for graphics, interactive pieces, videos and more.
- Performing tasks outside of a copywriter’s or strategists’ normal duties such as proofreading for another team member, drafting copy for additional brands etc.
- Proven work experience as a social media strategist or social media manager
- Hands on experience using social media for brand awareness.
- An ability to identify target audience preferences and build content to meet them.
- Excellent multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field
- Strong digital marketing portfolio with examples of content and copy for campaigns, social media, etc.
- Deep understanding of customer intents, social signals, and cultural trends, and what makes amazing content resonate and be successful.
- Confident and exceedingly creative writer, communicator, and proofreader.
- Flexibility to write in different styles for various audiences and channels.
- Understanding a content pipeline and lifecycle—you know what it takes to get from ideation to delivering final assets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a strong concentration on PowerPoint.
Compensation Range: $60,000-$75,000/yr
**This pay range is Client-specific for the opening advertised. The identity of the Client will be disclosed if you are selected to move forward in the hiring process.
