Software Engineering Manager for our team typically includes the following responsibilities, qualifications, and skills:
\n- Lead and work with a team of highly accomplished engineers to build and deliver customer-centric roadmap.
- Responsible to build the new features and iterate on existing products using the latest software development methodologies and frameworks to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Work with product managers to priorities features for new products based on customer needs; and enable the web product vision for the company and manage a list of requirements based on industry trends and new technologies.
- Mentor and nurture talent and promote a culture of togetherness, partnership, and continuous team improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics.
- Responsible for the people management of a co-located and remote engineering teams.
- Assist Support with release updates for communication.
- Own any release-related communication, and maintain schedules, release landing pages, and calendar entries.
- Monitor progress of phases by employing appropriate metrics and management reporting.
- 5+ year of experience in leadership role required.
- 10+ years of full-stack development is required.
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Experience with aviation is a plus.
- Strong experience with Agile or Lean practices.
- Experience being a people leader, coaching, mentoring and guiding for highly talented technical teams.
- Proven experience hiring, retaining, and leading high-caliber engineering talent.
- Understanding of web UI technologies and frameworks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to cater to a diverse audience: executive collaborator, customer, partner, engineering.
- Experience leading and building software engineering teams designing and building efficient software products in a fast-paced, sophisticated and dynamic software development environment.
$150,000 - $200,000 a year
