LawY is a recently established business of Australian Technology Innovators (“ATI Global Limited”) which is focused on the development of AI products and applications in the LegalTech industry. We seek a dynamic Estate Planning lawyer with a strong commercial and operational mindset to join our highly motivated, high velocity, and growing team in the US on a hybrid work pattern. LawY will provide you with the best training, equipment, mentoring, and support for success in this greenfields role.

The role will focus on supporting the legal and operational needs of the LawY platform as it is rolled out in the US, supporting the creation and management of panel of external lawyers to assist in the verification of AI generated legal content and the verification of AI generated Estate Planning law content. It will also include providing advice on content, development, and product to the executive team. The applicant will further need to be active in user testing, measuring client satisfaction, and supporting the launch, maintenance and promotion of LawY in the region. Reporting to the Head of US - LawY, you will work closely with a close-knit, global team passionate about building a revolutionary legal research tool for lawyers.
Responsibilities and Duties (included but not limited to):
- Supporting the creation and management of panel of external lawyers to verify AI generated legal content in the common areas of law.
- Verifying AI generated Estate Planning law content.
- Advising LawY on the US variances in law in relation to its T&Cs, retainer, amendments to the template retainer and other operations needs of the business.
- Providing advice on content, development, and product to the executive team.
- Facilitating and participating in user testing, measuring client satisfaction, and supporting the launch, maintenance and promotion of LawY in the region.
- Ensuring the LawY AI generated content is accurate, meets internal standards and is optimised for the US market.
- Collaborating with other departments and related companies to launch, promote and improve the core product.
- Collaborating with integration partner products, content team, sales, marketing, and other departments to ensure that LawY provides a positive user experience to clients and panel firms.
- Supports the sales and marketing functions of LawY and its integration partners nationally including attending seminars etc.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree qualification in law is required
- 8-10 years of experience in law
- Knowledge of the legal market, legal tech and preferably a good understanding of AI
- Thorough understanding the Estate Planning law practice and ideally some experience in one or more other practice areas
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment for a global organization
- Strong detail orientation, work ethic, and a passion for accomplishing challenging goals
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills
- A high degree of organizational and self-motivational skills and ideally with a commercial and operational mindset
