Magic Media is currently seeking a Lead Developer to help our team on their next adventure. The ideal candidate enjoys putting their skills and knowledge to use in a variety of styles. Your broader experience in game development and the animation pipeline will help you work collaboratively with designers, concept artists, technical artists, and 3D artists to create an immersive and epic experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technical design of new features and legacy features refactoring.
- Server-side Logic Development: Designing, developing, and implementing the logic that powers the server-side of web applications or services.
- Legacy code reverse engineering, optimization, bug-fixing, rewrite
- Migration of legacy GCP Appengine Python applications
- Database Development: Designing and optimizing database schemas, writing efficient SQL queries, and managing database operations.
- API Development: Creating and maintaining APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) for communication between the front-end and the server-side of applications.
- Performance Optimization: Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in server-side code and database queries to ensure optimal application performance.
- Integration: Integrating third-party services or systems with the backend infrastructure of the application.
- Testing and Debugging: Writing unit tests, conducting integration tests, and debugging issues to ensure the reliability and stability of backend systems.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other team members to ensure seamless integration of all components of applications.
YOUR PROFILE:
- 7+ years of experience within the game industry.
- 2+ years of experience as a Lead Developer.
- Proficiency in OOP and Technical Design.
- Commitment to organization, time management, and communication.
- Passion for video games with knowledge on different game genres across all platforms.
- Passion for mentoring others to further develop their technical skill sets.
- Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
- Professional working English proficiency.
