Role Overview:
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a key role focused on identifying, qualifying, and nurturing leads. This position is essential in building the pipeline for our Account Executives (AEs), who will close the deals. The SDR will concentrate on generating leads through inbound channels, such as paid ads and outbound prospecting. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hunting for new opportunities and enjoys the challenge of engaging potential clients without the desire to transition into a full-cycle sales role. Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead Generation:
- Identify and research potential leads through inbound channels, including paid ads and other marketing efforts.
- Actively hunt for outbound leads through various channels, including social media and industry events.
- Qualify leads based on established criteria and schedule demos with Account Executives.
Outreach and Engagement:
- Conduct outreach to engage with prospects and introduce our products/services.
- Follow up on inbound leads to ensure timely engagement and qualification.
Appointment Setting:
- Schedule product demonstrations and meetings with qualified leads for the Account Executives.
- Ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads to the AEs.
CRM Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with prospects in the CRM system.
- Track and manage leads through the sales pipeline, regularly updating the sales team and management.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with the marketing team to align lead generation strategies and improve conversion rates.
- Provide feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness to help optimize sales and marketing efforts.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and product knowledge.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance sales skills and product understanding.
Format into sections and lists to improve readability
Avoid targeting specific demographics e.g. gender, nationality and age
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in lead generation, customer outreach, or a related role.
- Prior experience as an SDR or in a similar capacity is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with potential clients.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales engagement tools (HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
