The Risk and Compliance Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the operational efficiency and effectiveness of Risk and Compliance processes within the organization. The R and C Analyst provides administrative support, analyzes data, conducts compliance monitoring and testing, prepares reports, conducts, and analyzes sanctions screening including the upload of data to the Risk Screen system and the clearance of alerts generated and various other tasks to assist in ensuring organization compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Overall duties and responsibilities:
- Compliance teams, including maintaining records, scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, and managing documentation.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to operational risk, laws, regulations, guidance notes, policies and procedures.
- Customer Service: Provide support to Risk and Compliance Heads of
- Departments by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and addressing concerns raised by other employees.
- Compliance Monitoring: Assist in monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards related to insurance operations. Help ensure adherence to legal and regulatory obligations.
- Compliance Testing: Assist in periodic review and testing of internal controls to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of controls and identify potential deficiencies.
- Sanctions Screening: Conduct ad hoc screening of new employees, agents, vendors and policy holders, review and analyze alerts generated from screenings conducted and manage the RiskScreen batch list upload process to ensure that the data remains current, and alerts generated are reviewed and processed.
- Policies and Procedures: Assist in the drafting and update of internal policies and procedures required to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and trends identified through compliance monitoring and testing.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for Audit Committee and Board Meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or other relevant area of study.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar analytical/control related role preferred.
- Advanced skills across all Microsoft Office applications and proficiency in performing accurate mathematical calculations.
Advantageous:
- Advanced data analytics skills (SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Excel) to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets and enhance reporting capabilities is a huge plus.
