We’re looking for a Lead QA to join our team!
You will be part of a Fintech team with the mission to manage and enhance our client's platform modernisation.
You will work closely with the development and product teams to integrate quality assurance measures into the Agile process, ensuring timely and high-quality software releases. You will mentor and guide engineering and QA team members in developing automated tests and ensuring continuous integration flows and high quality development.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Leading the development and execution of test automation frameworks for functional and non-functional testing;
- Driving the software quality assurance lifecycle within the Agile process;
- Establishing and coordinating test strategies with the development/product teams;
- Designing and implementing test plans and test cases;
- Mentoring and instructing QA team members, helping them make decisions and solve problems; Coaching the team on QA testing knowledge, testing techniques, automation, QA process, CI/CD etc;
- Contributing to the maintenance and development of test automation frameworks and ensuring the QA deliverables are aligned to the test approach;
- Developing and executing automated UI and functional tests on real devices and emulators;
- Applying the appropriate test measurements and metrics in the product and the testing team, reviewing test results daily and reporting issues;
- Enhancing and maintaining automated CI flows;
- Determining, negotiating, and agreeing quality procedures and standards;
- Defining and leading quality best practices and activities;
- Defining the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery;
- Specifying quality requirements in order to achieve satisfactory quality level and supporting the team in achieving the project goals;
- Defining and exploring test techniques and testing tools to support the team in achieving the best product quality;
- Providing quality reports and feedback to the team regularly;
- The role will also require extensive knowledge transfer and coaching to build a culture of continuous testing and industry best practices across the organisation;
- Assuring the quality of and adherence to system/software product standards processes and procedures;
- Providing expert guidance to build upon quality assurance/test standards in order to achieve business benefits for all stakeholder groups and focusing on a continuous improvement process to sustain customer satisfaction;
- Managing meetings, setting goals, providing feedback on testing tasks, and delegating testing responsibilities;
- Taking initiative in solving complex technical problems and recommending original solutions and design approaches to platform requirements, making decisions between competing priorities;
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience working with and leading large projects;
- Extensive experience in IT quality programs and practices;
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Strong leadership and communication abilities - ability to demonstrate and communicate the value proposition and decisions to stakeholders;
- Experience in defining & implementing Test Automation strategies in large IT organisations, ideally working in an Agile framework, operating a CI/CD DevOps approach;
- Thorough understanding of TDD and BDD techniques including Gerkin, Cucumber syntax;
- Demonstrable experience of defining Non-Functional Requirements and developing performance testing automation frameworks;
- Comfortable with the C# programming language;
- Previous experience with Playwright, Jest, Insomnia, Postman, Selenium, JMeter, Jenkins, Git and Confluence;
- Previous experience with Cypress is a plus;
- Flexibility and ability to travel and work on client sites;
- Experience in Fintech projects is a must;
- Fluency in English.
