Mindera is looking to recruit a Pre-sales Engineer with recent experience in an engineering leadership or solutions architect role to assist with pre and post sales activities. In this role you will work closely with Mindera business and vertical owners from around the world meeting with clients to gather requirements and create technical solutions for proposals. Our clients span the gamut across our verticals and have varying levels of technical maturity, so the ability to create solutions for unique technical problems and communicate the proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences is critical.
In addition to pre-sales activities, the role will include working with current US clients to deliver added value: for example assisting with architecture or design for an existing customer on a adhoc basis 1-2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Work independently and collaboratively with the SVP Operations & Business Development, US & the ‘Vertical leads’ to attend meetings with prospects to determine technical and business requirements ensuring all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution in order to close new client opportunities.
- Regularly update CRM.
- Foster client relationships to drive revenue and meet quarterly goals.
- Provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes.
- Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally.
- Create internal technical architecture documentation with technical explanations to support the technical solutions for the client proposals.
- Work with the US & Global teams to get feedback on issues with client existing products and solutions and gather feedback for input into the RFP’s.
- Work on a Client account on a weekly basis, as required [max 2 days per week or as appropriate] to deliver leadership and technology solutions.
- Develop formal written RFP’s (Request for Proposal) and tender responses at C-level.
- Build productive working relationships internally and externally, fostering teamwork by keeping colleagues updated on activities.
- Have the ability to present and differentiate technical & product offerings at a level above the competition.
- Provide accurate and timely management information, to include - activity reports, bid reviews, project forecasts & KPI’s,
- Have excellent experience in providing Technical Consultancy services to end-users customers for some or all products across platforms & code bases: Java, C++, Python, G0
- Actively work to source new clients & business opportunities through the outreach program.
- Attend, network and be a speaker at conferences/conventions where they are a fit for the outreach program.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience as a customer-facing Senior Technical Consultant
- 3+ years proven Technical services pre-sales experience
- 3+ years of experience in the construction of proposals and end state conceptual architecture
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing unique solutions to unique business needs - not just integrations with existing products.
- Recent experience designing solutions in public cloud, AWS, GCP, and / or Azure
- Competency in one or more backend languages:: Golang, Java, C++, Python
- Experience in C-Suite, enterprise and B2B outreach and communications
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent preparation & presentation skills
