Job Description
The Associate Technical Project Manager will support the Corporate Technology platform team ensuring completion of various project activities. The Associate Technical Project Manager, under the direction of the Sr. Director, Platform Engineering, will create project documentation, manage project deliverables, and communicate status reporting. The candidate should be familiar with project planning and execution in both waterfall and agile methodologies. This position requires strong communication, influencing, and reporting skills. The Associate Technical Project Manager must have a keen ability to quickly develop deep understanding of technical and strategic objectives. This candidate will also establish and manage department process for invoicing, submitting, and tracking PO/SOW issuance and payments.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate teams of highly technical engineers
- Accurately track timelines, deliverables, and expectations with application owners and project team members
- Communicate project expectations, risks, and escalations to manager
- Effectively contribute to the successful project completion on-time and within budget
- Assist in proactively identifying risks, issues, and dependencies on projects
- Work directly with project manager, project owner, and stakeholders to help evaluate and assess level-of-effort, resource requirements, and project timing
- Learn and apply appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), types, and sizes, ensuring objectives and deliverables are accomplished according to plan
- Establish and report on project activities in JIRA, ServiceNow, or any other acceptable Enterprise tool.
- Process departmental invoices, purchase orders and arrange for signatures by partnering with those necessary to do so.
- Assist with team capital forecasts and regular cadence of reporting.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience with project management tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Smartsheet
- Strong communication skills, and attention to detail
- Foundational understanding of platform engineering technologies, and willingness to learn more, specifically SAP.
- Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to coordinate and influence team members from global teams with diverse backgrounds, business objectives, and time zone constraints
- Adaptable performer who can lead effectively under pressure and through significant change
- Ability to develop positive working relationships and a strong rapport with own group and cross-functional team members
- Ability and desire to continually learn about new technologies, project management methodologies, and adapt to ever-changing business and industry needs

- Previous work experience within media entertainment industry
