Job Summary


The Intermediate DevOps Engineer role is focused on continually improving Nextech’s infrastructure, automation, and operations.  In collaboration with other DevOps Engineers, Software Development Engineers and Cloud Engineers, you will support our efforts to deliver high-quality, high-value, scalable solutions to our customers.

Essential Functions
  • Essential Functions: In addition to working in accordance with appropriate conduct and behavioral standards, specific responsibilities of this role include:
  •  Infrastructure Automation & CI/CD: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Contribute to the development and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery and deployment.
  • ·Collaboration & Support: Work closely with engineering teams to understand application requirements and assist in automating and scaling their infrastructure. Provide technical support to improve system performance and resolve issues.
  • ·Monitoring & Reporting: Help implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure system health. Contribute to identifying areas for performance optimization and reliability improvements.
  • ·Process Improvement: Assist in the continuous improvement of DevOps processes, including automation, configuration management, and infrastructure monitoring, to enhance system stability and efficiency.
  • Operational Support: Support day-to-day infrastructure operations, ensuring the reliability and availability of production systems. Participate in on-call rotation for incident response and troubleshooting.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Document infrastructure processes, automation workflows, and troubleshooting procedures. Collaborate with the team to share best practices and provide guidance on tools and technologies.
  • Learning & Development: Take initiative to learn new tools, technologies, and best practices in the DevOps space. Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth, with guidance from senior team members.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate progress and issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.


Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of industry experience
  • 1-3 years of DevOps Experience
  • Good understanding of Azure or AWS
  • Some experience implementing DevOps in a Windows-based environment
  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform to automate the creation of infrastructure
  • Experience building secure CI/CD pipelines leveraging tools like Azure DevOps, TeamCity, or Jenkins
  • Experience with at least 1 scripting or programming language such as PowerShell, Python, .NET
  • Experience working in an Agile method environment


Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one Cloud related certification
  • Experience implementing configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Hands-on experience working with APM solutions such as Dynatrace, Datadog or New Relic
