Contract Position
About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to support key product initiatives for our Employer/Job Experience teams. In this role, you will collaborate with UX, Product, and Engineering team members to design experiences that help employers easily find, organize, and manage their jobs on our platform. This position focuses on designโyou will support other designers on the team without the need for coding experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate design concepts and build prototypes for user research.
Iterate on detailed design solutions.
Collaborate with other UX designers, product managers, and engineers.
Define UX specifications for development.
Present design problems in ways that encourage creative solutions.
Explore different solutions by thinking broadly and generating multiple ideas.
Conduct user research to understand customer needs, pain points, and behaviors.
Create user personas, journey maps, and empathy maps to guide design decisions.
Design intuitive user flows, wireframes, and prototypes focusing on the overall experience.
Incorporate usability principles and best practices to create smooth interactions.
Apply visual design principles, including color theory, typography, and layout design.
Create consistent branding across products and experiences.
Leverage existing design systems for layout and component composition.
Use design tools such as Figma (preferred) or Sketch for interaction design and prototyping.
Leverage research and data to support design recommendations.
Design for mobile and responsive experiences.
Navigate and define ambiguous projects and problem spaces.
Understand and articulate information architecture, workflows, and decisions for complex design solutions.
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills:
5+ years of product design experience.
Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
Strong user research skills and empathy.
Proficiency in interaction design and visual design.
Experience with design systems.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in design tools (Figma preferred).
Ability to present design ideas clearly, both visually and verbally.
A portfolio demonstrating experience designing modern user interfaces and interactions.
Ability to leverage research and data to support design recommendations.
Experience with mobile and responsive design.
Ability to navigate and define ambiguous projects and problem spaces.
Understanding of information architecture, workflows, and decision-making for complex design solutions.
Soft Skills:
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues in the user experience and develop innovative solutions.
Communication: Clearly articulating design decisions and reasoning to stakeholders and developers.
Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and marketers.
Adaptability: Being open to feedback and iterative design changes based on user research and testing.
Note: We are looking for a UI Designer or Product Designer with a focus on design. Coding experience is not required for this role.
